Sage 50 Training Review: “All of us here at TMG Business Services took the Sage 50 In-Person Training with Simply Training and took away a lot of great tips/tricks and how to streamline our processes. I have been using Sage 50 before it was Simply Accounting and still came away with some great time-saving processes, which we have already started to put into practice. We so much enjoyed Sue Dupuy and her style of teaching; it was very laid back, and we had lots of time for talking with other attendees, sharing our issues and getting the most out of the training. Thanks again for coming to Kelowna; it was well worth the investment! You taught us so much, and the staff is happy they can now do the books with these new processes and save time.”

Sage 50 In-Person Training Reviews
Tanya B, Business Owner, Toronto, ON: “I enjoyed the Sage 50 training very much and could have done a third day. All my questions were answered, and I look forward to implementing everything I learned and making changes to my processes. One question I have is should I be taking additional online training? I completed the Accounting Fundamentals Course and Sage 50 Accounting Course 1, but after this in-person training, I would like to know if I should be taking Sage 50 Course 2. I always want to update my knowledge with Sage 50 and ensure I am doing things correctly. I loved the hands-on experience and the smaller learning group. Sue is amazing and extremely knowledgeable. This training taught me ways to use the Sage 50 program that I did not know I could do. Sage is very quick to sell you the program, but I was left on my own to learn how to navigate it, leading you to use only what you have taught yourself or someone else has shown you. Simply Training for the Sage 50 program is your user manual for how to use the program efficiently; I could do this in-person training again and learn more. I look forward to using Sage 50 to its fullest, eliminating the duplication of work I’ve been doing and cutting my workload in half.”
Julia C, Bookkeeper, Laval, QC: “I wanted to tell you I took your online courses four years ago, and the courses helped me very much. I took over the books for a small business from another bookkeeper, and her bank reconciliations would take two days, but when I took your courses and was taught how to use the Sage 50 Bank Reconciliation, that helped a ton. Coming to the course, it was great to be in class since we got to listen to all the stories. I like being in a classroom setting. I did know a lot of what was taught in the 2 days, but there were tips and tricks that I didn’t know. I will implement them in Sage 50, such as creating multiple government vendors, using the Tax Code Included, and using the transfer funds to make credit card payments. I always use the employee detail report, but now I know how to save templates, which I will start doing. We still don’t use Payroll Direct Deposit, but learning how easy it is to use, we are considering it. I also realized I need to double-check the payroll settings. Thanks for showing us how to submit Sage 50 product ideas; a business needs to be able to send multiple emails for all Sage 50 forms. I recommend this 2-day course to everyone or to take your online courses.”
Lisa Porter Bookkeeping Services, Miramichi, NB: “Being new to bookkeeping and Sage 50 (I just completed Simply Trainings, Sage 50 Full Course), I found the Sage 50 in-person training exceptionally helpful. Sue made us feel relaxed and comfortable in the class. I felt I could ask any question anytime, and the new tips and tricks were easy to follow. But for me, it was about how I could use the Sage 50 program more confidently. I enjoyed how the training went through many procedures step-by-step, for example, with year-end. Sue’s teaching style is easy to listen to and follow, and she is very knowledgeable about bookkeeping and Sage 50. I highly recommend Simply Training Courses and the Sage 50 in-person training. I know it will be a new experience (and a bit of work) to switch all our businesses/clients to Sage 50, but our office will be much more efficient and easier to organize in the long run! Thank you again so much! Sue is an excellent teacher and mentor.”
Janet Lynch, Owner of Lynch’s Accounting Services, Miramichi, NB: “I had the opportunity to attend Simply Training’s Sage 50 in-person training in Halifax, NS; it was a 2-day training that took you through each module and setting. Now… being in this business and using Sage 50 since the start over 25 years ago, I couldn’t imagine I was going to get anything out of it… well, I came away with a list of things to look at and possibly implement in my office and things to remind my staff about. Sue went through each module and explained how to set it up so that it is efficient to use. She gave many insights on how to streamline your work to get the most out of Sage 50. It was excellent, and I would recommend it to anyone using Sage 50, no matter the number of years you have been doing this. During COVID, we lost these in-person trainings, and I think it is worthwhile thinking about going to one. It gives you that connection and the ability to ask many questions and get the answers you need to be better at your job. I was glad I went, and I do recommend it.”
Tammie G, Business Owner of TMG Business Services: “All of us here at TMG Business Services took the Sage 50 In-Person Training with Simply Training and took away a lot of great tips/tricks and how to streamline our processes.
Sherri H., Finance Manager, Williams Lake, BC: “While I loved and learned so much from Simply Training’s online courses, there is no comparison between in-person and online. One of my biggest takeaways was that I want to learn more accounting to help me be even more efficient. All my questions were answered, even ones I didn’t know I had – how to adjust and clean up vacation pay. My favourite discussions were on using clearing accounts, WCB payable (who would have thought), more than one way to do everything, fewer clicks can be even fewer, don’t make things so complicated, and CRA rules discussions around GST. I’m still “recovering” from the workshop – so much incredible information along with a ton of “hey, keep learning and researching – it’s endless!” – I felt like I had my kids’ awe moment from “Apple Day” at SAGE!”
Jan M., Business Owner, Smithers, BC: “I thoroughly enjoyed the live training! Previously I learned a lot about Basic Bookkeeping and Sage 50 through Simply Training online courses; however, in-person definitely added to my knowledge. It was great to meet other like-minded people, hear their stories and challenges, and your responses to questions/help that clarified processes. My favourite was all the Tips & Tricks you shared in the training; I learned how to process entries faster and more efficiently and learned different ways of processing certain entries; so many good tips! I work more with Sage 50, and I’m definitely interested in anything else you teach in SAGE.”
Brittany K., Accounts Payable, Osoyoos, BC: “I plan on registering for your Sage 50 Full Course as I learned so many things we are doing incorrectly here at my workplace. I also mentioned to my employer that it could be an asset to my coworkers working in Sage 50. I enjoyed being able to ask questions and listen to the questions and answers from the other attendees on things I didn’t realize I was questioning. My favourite topics were year-end and payroll, which makes me wish we would switch back to doing payroll in-house with Sage 50. I absolutely recommend the 2-Day Sage 50 Training Event to anybody.”
